since iv got an accounting degree...i'd be very much like to work in more accounting related area in a bank...or finance, mortgage areas are still fine...
What is the prospect of moving from temp data entry officer to other perm job at bank ?
Yeah,right.
Reply:Quite high...simply make it known after a couple of months on the job that you would like to stay at the bank permanently. Apply for vacancies as they come up. Sooner or later you will have the same luck as I had and be hired into a bank you have been placed at.
Reply:Geet a audit degree like CPA
Reply:It depends on your perm job scope. The likelihood is that it is more relevant than performing data entry with an accounting degree.

Reply:Sure sounds good to me, an accounting degree seems very desirable.
If the bank doesn't work out, go to a temp agency that specializes in accountants-they are all over.
Robert Half is one.
Reply:The bank cons all the people, to get rich , con the bank.lol.
Don,t invest in America they are bankrupt,, lol.
Reply:Banks have a high turnover rate - 30% and higher - every year. So there will be lots of opening. As a person they know, your chances of getting permanent job are excellent if you apply yourself.
Lots of places need people with accounting degrees. Don't limit yourself to one area of the job market. But just getting experience will put you ahead of 75% of the applicants.
