I want to know what is needed out of a person for a data entry job.?

Is it something that you can like enter things once and leave it be? Or is it like almost constant modifying and making sure things are correct. and updating things.

Also, Should you take your time when entering things? or Hurry it up?

So my question is what is needed out of a data entry job and how much should that person be making a hour?

I want to know what is needed out of a person for a data entry job.?
Data entry Jobs.

1) Type accurately

2) High WPM usually a minimum of 40 is required.

3) all jobs are different some may require information changes, some may be new information added.

You need to be quick and you need to type accurately.

If you can't be efficient then it doesn't matter how fast you are.

Also varies per hour on location, full or part time, and who you are working for. usually around 9.50 to 13 in MA
Reply:Data entry, normally relies on 3 key things:

1. Accuracy

2. Speed (e.g. Touch Typing, words per minute etc.)

3. Knowledge of the processes for data entry. This may be industry specific (e.g. financial orgs, may train you to enter in different forms in sequence for regulatory reasons)

The first two are core skills. The third, is something you need to be conscious of on the job and learn on the job.

Data entry jobs are generally 30%-40% above minimum wage, depending on industry and location.

Good luck.
